Major news! A court in Montana has just declared SB458, a bill that "defines sex" in a way that ends the legal recognition of transgender people in Montana, as facially unconstitutional. This is the first time a bill defining sex has been ruled on! Huge win for trans people in MT!

Led my first Paleobiology Lecture/Lab the other week. I decided to include a pathological Walrus Baculum as one of the specimens. The look of indifference on the faces of the women in the class compared to the looks of horror on the faces of the men in the class was truly an incredible contrast

This seems important. My take is that education is important and weāve gotta start people on philosophy before college. Also, though I believe in higher ed, itās still broken and needs to be for more people than it currently is. Our futures depend on it.

Men and white people vote differently based on education
Over all, college graduates voted for Harris by 13 points more than they did Trump. But that gap was even starker for certain demographics.

Hi folks, in addition to the whole let's-not-comply-in-advance thing, let's maybe stop with the weird doomer stuff. Not because bad stuff won't happen but because we should maybe not turn this into Twitter and just reskeet people posting unknowledgeable takes for clicks. ---

Itās times like these that I look to the life stories of figures like Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska and Tilly Edinger to stay hopeful. Shit clearly sucks now and the future seems bleak but it is far from hopeless. We can organize, we can fight, and moreover we will overcome.
