I find these justifications unpersuasive wishcasting. Helium-3 is debunked silliness. Polar ice is potentially, long-term, useful only insofar as it can support other stuff you want to do on the moon / in space. There are good reasons to do spaceflight, but profitable resource extraction ain't it.
