Jon was deeply kind and caring, and his love for his community was clear from the first time we met. He worked hard to support institutions he found worthy, but never put institutions over people. Our community is so much less for his loss, but the good he did will carry on.

I regret to relay that Jon Lasser passed away. He was a kind peer and delightful writer. If you read any SFF magazine, you probably read a story of his, and you surely enjoyed it. I'm going to miss him.
