ℹ️ WIC is the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children and "provides free or low-cost food, nutrition education, and referrals to other services to help low-income families maintain the health of their children and pregnant or breastfeeding women." (USDA)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, "provides nutrition assistance to eligible, low-income individuals and households via a monthly benefit on an EBT card, similar to a debit card. The card can be used at authorized retailer stores to purchase food." (USDA)

We are experiencing a federal government shutdown and are unsure of its duration. Oregon Food Bank services remain open and uninterrupted. As of now, SNAP and WIC are still available. A brief federal government shutdown is unlikely to impact people's ability to use these benefits.
