DMs on Bluesky will not be "end-to-end encrypted" until we are able to do some more protocol work. We have very careful access controls within our systems. If you're extremely privacy conscious, I'd recommend using Bluesky DMs to share your Signal accounts!

I think one of several possible takeaways here is to discourage a) binary artifacts in source repos b) generated source in source repos If it can't be inspected in a diff, it shouldn't be there.

I still feel like this level of obfuscation could/should be caught by secure CI practices (for OSS projects especially) Github disabled the repo - please share w/me for R&D purposes if you cloned it. I'm curious how any existing tools or new tools can detect this.

We’ll blog about this work in the future because it’s fun to talk about and interesting to see but ultimately it’s pretty basic stuff done out of necessity. AWS has been great and we will still use it but there are unavoidable cost and technical reasons that make “hybrid cloud” the only choice.
