Today a very nice review of my book by Sahil Raza Al-kashmiri was published in the New State Reporter, a newspaper in India (Jammu and Kashmir).

“If revolution was a pill, I would take it every day”, someone said, and he is right. Back in Brussels after a most wonderful, fascinating and emotional visit to Damascus. I will write my impressions and new insights down soon.

Damascene writer Ahmed Qasser (middle in the picture) said something fascinating: “i know theoretically what freedom is. Now that Bashar al-Assad is gone, I do feel freedom, for the first time in my life. But I cannot bridge the two. I cannot describe what freedom is.”

My take on the new reality in Syria.

And so international justice died. The Hague will not arrest Netanyahu, while the ICC in The Hague has issued an international arrest warrant.

It’s truly astonishing how fast Syrian rebels are advancing. It shows how much Assad was relying on Hezbollah and Iran to stay in power.

A sunny picture as I am happy to leave behind the dark days on X lately. Twitter helped me through revolutions and wars, so I didn’t take this decision lightly. Up to a new start now!
