Not everything in the Fall Budget Adjustment is good for transit riders unfortunately Administration is proposing increasing the fare for the 747 to the airport to $6.00, with a monthly fare cap increase from $90.00 to $108.00. This could mean an addition $216.00 per year!

The Carney Government just passed a Federal Budget that cuts the Canada Public Transit Fund, as the TTC faces a $4.3B repair backlog & $232M operations shortfall. The $3B fund will now be folded into a generalized infrastructure fund, leaving less money on the table for transit riders nationwide 👎

2026 will be the first (hopefully not last) year that the Canada Public Transit Fund Baseline stream will be in place. Edmonton could unlock up to $16.4 million in additional funding for transit projects through this stream, IF council commits to invest. #yegcc #yeglrt #yegtransit

101st Street is not built for transit riders. With constant delays, and lanes too thin for buses to even fit in, this corridor which sees over 11,000 transit riders getting on and off buses between Jasper Ave and 107th Ave needs a refresh to add options to get people out of traffic
