Fighting for better transit in Metro Vancouver! 🚌🚎🚞⛴️

“We are disappointed. This motion was simple, it aimed to ensure that everyone, not just frequent transit riders but also snow-day transit users (like drivers who want to keep their car parked during a storm) have reliable transit access during harsh winters“ - Aman Chandi

You can help get this poor bus out of the snow! This Wednesday, February 4th, Vancouver City Council will vote on a motion to give snow clearing priority to transit trouble spots. We can't believe they don't do this already.

With municipal elections coming up in October, it's exciting to see candidates in the region are campaigning to win the support of transit riders. There's over 1 million of us, a third of Metro Vancouverites use transit at least once weekly.

Regarding Prime Minister Carney’s federal budget: I don’t pretend to fully know it, and there are elements that concern me, but if I were the NDP I’d pledge to support it if a significant investment in urban public transit (nation-building, climate etc) was added, and if I were PM Carney I’d agree.

You might have recently noticed some signs proudly declaring “The 19 is getting faster!” Sadly, “faster” is a pitiful 3%. The city’s own goal for speeding up buses is 10%. They’re making this proposal mild in advance. We’re here to say “dream bigger, we want this!” Visit our website to take action.
