New York just showed what organized riders can win. Now it’s our turn to stop acting like a low-income transit pass is a pipe dream. We can have nice things here too. But only if we show up and make noise. Rally is tomorrow! Be there, bring your people!

We've been campaigning hard for a low-income transit pass: - 2,400+ emails sent to MLAs - 50+ organizations signed on - over a dozen media mentions - beautiful art, posters and zines - a rally coming up on July 1st - a Vancouver Council motion, soon Langley, and possibly more municipalities?!?

We truly lucked out with our interns. Mandeep has been with us for the past year as a volunteer, and since May, as a staff. It is hard to overstate the impact she has had on our team and our community. We are going to miss her. Thank you, Mandeep, for everything you have given to this work.

Northern BC has a surprising amount of transit service, but it's delivered by a variety of agencies and isn't integrated into a network. I'm up in Hazelton to do a trip along Highway 16 with 4 different services! Making a travelogue style YouTube video. How's my thumbnail face?

Transit fares are going up 5% on July 1. Are wages? It is embarrassing that Metro Van is one of the only places in Canada without a low-income transit pass. Join the fight for transit affordability. Show up on July 1 at Metrotown Station from 12-1:30 PM.

I’m on a Mark I right now. The vehicle is so loud that I cannot wait until these things are scrapped or sent to museums. Riding these as a transit user is deeply unpleasant considering improvements the rest of our rolling stock have.

Happy long weekend everyone, here is the line of people waiting for the 257 at 10:10am at Granville. It is about to round the corner at Seymour making it about 35m long. It will arrive at this stop with many seats filled, and still has to make stops after this. We need more buses.

This is one of those weird policy spaces where we have fallen behind Calgary, Edmonton, Kamloops, Toronto, every major American city, etc. I always come back to "why?", what with our reputation for leftyness? The situation is embarrassing and I hope that will make this campaign an easy win.

Add up gas, insurance, parking, maintenance, and the car itself; car ownership can easily cost you $15,000 annually. Families that switch from two cars to one, or from one car to none can save a ton of money.

TransLink announced that the Second Narrows Bridge is getting a RapidBus! Is that what we wanted? The R2 extension in September 2026 will make it a one seat ride from Metrotown to the North Shore. This follows the same route as the BRT we want, but a BRT will be much cooler.
