We needed a low-income transit pass yesterday, but it’s not too late to act. Before July’s fare hikes, BC must expand the Bus Pass Program to include ALL low-income people.

This is one of those weird policy spaces where we have fallen behind Calgary, Edmonton, Kamloops, Toronto, every major American city, etc. I always come back to "why?", what with our reputation for leftyness? The situation is embarrassing and I hope that will make this campaign an easy win.

Add up gas, insurance, parking, maintenance, and the car itself; car ownership can easily cost you $15,000 annually. Families that switch from two cars to one, or from one car to none can save a ton of money.

TransLink announced that the Second Narrows Bridge is getting a RapidBus! Is that what we wanted? The R2 extension in September 2026 will make it a one seat ride from Metrotown to the North Shore. This follows the same route as the BRT we want, but a BRT will be much cooler.

I am confident that one day we will have SkyTrain to UBC and gondola to SFU. We need to band together and fight for funding, and elect leaders who make them a priority. If you care about these things, then

Clean trains and buses are absolutely essential to a comfortable, safe and healthy transit journey! It's unacceptable that SkyTrain janitorial staff have been facing major issues since SkyTrain switched cleaning contracts, including workers being instructed to clean washrooms with water alone. 🤢
