Every hour is #EarthHour for one of our favourite ecosystem engineers - the beaver. 🦫 Through creation of wetlands, beavers play a key role in creating rich habitats that benefit many species. They can also mitigate extreme weather events, such as flooding, through controlling the flow of water. 💚

Brilliant ocean news! 60,000 oysters are now in the Firth of Forth - double the initial goal! Oysters can stabilise the seabed, store carbon and boost biodiversity. So this is a big win wildlife and ecosystems. 🦪 This is thanks to years of hard work from partners, communities and supporters. 👏

A remarkable recovery for the Mongolia's saiga. 🙌 Numbers of this critically endangered species have increased by around 24% in the last year. Thanks to conservation efforts from WWF-Mongolia & partners, the national population is now estimated at 28,857. Let's hope the numbers continue to rise!

Picture perfect. 🐨 February wraps up the koala mating season in South Australia. Birthing usually occurs between October and April. Mums that mated earlier may now be welcoming tiny joeys, or already nurturing them safely in their pouch. 🥹
