Another Christmas, another threat of annexing #Greenland.. This time around we cannot simply hold our breath and wait for the US to focus elsewhere. Greenland decides the future of their own country, and the Danish Foreign Office has a duty to do what they must to protect and honour that right🇬🇱🇩🇰

Spent 10 days in Joburg at the T20, G20 Social & People’s Summits, discussing global agendas. Feeling hopeful for South Africa’s progressive push. Next year is different - G20 at a golf resort in Miami🙃 All eyes will soon be on the UK walking a geopolitical tightrope hosting the #G20 in 2027..👀

African governments are now spending on average 17% of all revenues on servicing debts.This is money that should be going to schools, climate adaptation and poverty reduction. That’s why ambitious action on debt and cost of capital will be absolutely key when South Africa hosts G20 in November!

Next year I will be eligible for citizenship in the UK. And for the first time I’m wondering whether I should apply “just in case” given the current political climate and statements like these. But do I want to become a citizen just out of fear of losing my rights? Not really..
