The *entire* purpose of ICE is to trigger massive, violent conflict and create the pretense for greater crackdowns, suspensions of laws and elections, etc. It has no other goal. Step 1 is the abductions. Step 2 is starting to unfold: the conflict with protestors. Step 3 is the police state.

Ask yourself: How a man who is so predictable create so much chaos? A system unwilling to recognize its own frailty. An elite resistant to questioning their legitimacy. People wishing things would go back to 'normal'. Waiting for some future moment of clarity vs. moving, now, to confront reality.

a lot of people are being radicalized by ICE this week so please remember that the most important thing when someone comes to any kind of radical politics is to immediately scold them for doing activism wrong as someone who has been doing it much longer

This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia. Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.” Really listen to it.

Thousands here now. Absolutely enormous crowd. People are chanting, "ICE out! Fuck ICE!" Organizers are taking the street but it's a slow process because there is SO much ice (the water kind). People helping each other up left and right after slipping.

Hitler and his Nazi goons used the "big lie" technique, which involved spreading lies repeatedly to establish a false sense of credibility. Joseph Goebbels oversaw this strategy, altering the German public's perception of reality. All fascist playbook.

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building. Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained. The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.

They want you to be afraid. That’s why they respond to murder with two thumbs up. Don’t be afraid. As a general rule, never do what fascists want you to do. They want to intimidate regular folks from going out into the streets. So everyone should go out into the streets.

Trump just said he's a king. Unbounded by law or the Constitution. Only restriction on his actions is his own morality. If Americans aren't in the streets tomorrow, everywhere, then delete July 4th from the calendar the same way elevators skip the 13th floor. If you're American, this means you.

The sad thing is they aren't even good at fascism. It's school play-level sophisticated. And Americans are still rolling over for it.

That's it 100%. And I can tell you, for non-Americans just the tone of the US national discussion is offensive. It's so damn clear that all those guys opining about war and peace do it from a position of detachment, fully expecting to not experience any of it ever on a personal level.

There are criminal capitalists who will take advantage of every gov't decision. But the scope of right wing fraud (billionaire donors bribing Trump to take Venezuela's oil) dwarfs anything that could have happened in Minnesota.

Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.
