bear with me as I attempt a copy/paste of an old twitter thread, in honor of the passing of writer Peter David. Among his many works, he wrote one of my all-time favorite comics, YOUNG JUSTICE. At a time when a lot of superhero comics trended grim and violent, it dared to be a fun superhero comic.

That new, exclusive to Disney+ episode of #TheSimpsons, The Past & the Furious is really great. This last year of the series had been a standout overall of the last decade, but this episode in particular really landed for me. It’s a bit Back to the Future, with lots of heart and humor. Recommend.

ONE, the animated short I directed and co-produced, has gotten into a couple more festivals- we’ll have to wait to announce our most recent but very excited.

Fun Fact: The first episode of Gilligan’s Island was directed by “Superman the Movie”, “Goonies” and “Lethal Weapon” director Richard Donner!

Chris Edgerly is now the newest voice for Rod Flanders in The Simpsons, starting with The Man Who Flew Too Much. Rod was previously voiced by Pamela Hayden so that's one of her main characters taken. Milhouse and Jimbo have yet to get new voices.

And as we speak, we're putting the finishing touches on what might be the closest The Simpsons has ever come to doing a bottle episode. It's not a "standing set," (i.e., Moe's) and there's several guest characters, but it mostly takes place on a jetliner, a la "Con Air", "Flight Plan", Non-Stop".

Guess I got to storyboard Pamela’s final performance as Milhouse. Honored!! She’s had so many great performances. My favorite sequence I did layout on with Milhouse was in THOH 14, when Bart and Milhouse freeze time and break the watch. Milhouse says,’I’m the second coolest kid…’ and does a dance!

Ahh!!! We’ll miss you!!

Disney has announced Season 34 of The Simpsons will premiere on Disney+ October 11th. Just in time for Treehouse of Horror XXXIII and Not It to be included.
