I had a great visit during the week to Lochend CHS speaking with pupils & the new SLT! Lots of very unique things going on at the school to help the young people achieve & attain.

Following last week’s debate in Westminster on compensation for WASPI women, I have written to Maureen Burke MP asking why she chose not to vote to compensate these women, despite publicly supporting the WASPI campaign in March 2024.

This was just 4 months before her election. The same election where she promised constituents to vote for compensation for the WASPI women, despite what her party’s position might be. Completely indefensible.

⏮️ In March 2024, Maureen Burke MP said it was the UK Government’s responsibility to pay WASPI women what they are owed. Today, when she had the chance to deliver justice, she didn’t bother to turn up. Shameful betrayal of her constituents in Glasgow🥀

Sarwar (www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/2476847...) says there was a "discrepancy between the advice [McNab] was given and the procedure she followed", which suggests she chose not to follow the advice she was given. As the advice is as in the screenshot, it seems incredibly clear-cut.
