Fantastic morning yesterday at the Preventing Antisocial Behaviour Conference hosted by Holyrood Insight. Great to hear from speakers across sectors in how we work together to prevent ASB through innovative solutions.

I had a great visit during the week to Lochend CHS speaking with pupils & the new SLT! Lots of very unique things going on at the school to help the young people achieve & attain.

One of my proudest moments yesterday. The SNP-Green joint budget secured Free School Meals for all Primary School pupils in Glasgow 🍎 Every single young person deserves to go to school ready to learn - not hungry.

Following last week’s debate in Westminster on compensation for WASPI women, I have written to Maureen Burke MP asking why she chose not to vote to compensate these women, despite publicly supporting the WASPI campaign in March 2024.

This was just 4 months before her election. The same election where she promised constituents to vote for compensation for the WASPI women, despite what her party’s position might be. Completely indefensible.

⏮️ In March 2024, Maureen Burke MP said it was the UK Government’s responsibility to pay WASPI women what they are owed. Today, when she had the chance to deliver justice, she didn’t bother to turn up. Shameful betrayal of her constituents in Glasgow🥀
