What weâre being told is that a guy who is an adjudicated rapist, who was credibly accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, who is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files, couldnât possibly be a sexual predator.

What would the world have done without Bill & Hillary to demonize for decades? Acres of newsprint in the NY Times alone. All those tremulously spiteful columns by Maureen Dowd.

This appears to be true. Just as a person âwho has everythingâ may take their own life confounding everyone around them who have failed to perceive the deep clinical depression that is kept hidden from view or may in fact have been unconscious.

The way our current press works is: GOP are given unlimited credulity. Every statement they make is seen as truth and the Dems need to address it. While Dems are given none of that.

what is touching about this story is that the young lovers truly loved each other in a way not permissible for the time, but not out of a wish to be rebellious. destroyed by the racism of the society & gutter journalism fanning racist flames.

(I am not proud of myself for losing patience so soon with "1900"--the long, inane dinner table scenes were exasperating; "good" peasants tiresome; great Burt Lancaster so wasted with a poor script.) (intermittently fast-forwarded through the five hours.)

I did see this bloated, ponderous, boring film -- in a theater. At the time, I gave it more credit than it deserved because of my considerable investment of time spent viewing it. I must say, however, that there are scenes and images from it which I have never forgotten for their profound beauty

having so much admired Bertolucci's "The Conformist"--which the director made in his late 20's (!)--I was nonplussed at how disappointing his "1900" is; has anyone ever seen all five hours of this excruciatingly long, slow, annoyingly antic & whimsical saga? should have checked reviews beforehand.
