This seems like a very non-standard installation of ziclas compared to any other I've seen. It's kind of the worst of all worlds, bc they are so spaced out, drivers can ignore them, & also they like they will be a hazard for cyclists Zicla makes these planters that look great. OR JUST USE CONCRETE

So, the mayor's office says "The City is closely working with the MBTA". But in February, after months of foot-dragging, the city planner said they had been directed *not* to meet with the MBTA. And the "full comment letter" is dated March 23rd. Hard not to see this as *in response* to bad press.

it’s not too late to turn this around before more damage is done to the transportation future of the city. I can’t believe that someone who so thoroughly embraced safe streets and transportation equity just over a year ago would want slow busses and more road deaths for Roxbury.

This is specifically a program for clearing "crosswalks, bus stops, and fire hydrants." As someone who spent 45 minutes clearing a Somerville crosswalk *4 weeks* after our last storm, I think that building capacity for things like this--such that you can throw $$ at it--is a good idea for cities.
