(1/2) Hey, Somerville. As we continue to work through this storm, please know all City offices will be physically closed on Tuesday, February 24. City staff will be working on snow response and any services that can be completed virtually, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

In Somerville, for snow emergencies this year we think ODD and "pahk smaht": please move your cars to the odd side, away from corners, and out of school lots by 4 p.m. Sunday 4/22.

Based on current weather forecasts, the City is declaring a snow emergency to go into effect at 12 noon on Sunday, February 22. Beginning at 12 p.m., cars will have 4 hours (until 4 p.m.) to move to the ODD side of the street. Any exceptions will be noted by nearby signs. 🧵

City buildings will be closed Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents' Day. Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day.

A reminder that the deadline for Christmas tree pick-up is Friday, February 20. Trees can be placed directly on the sidewalk on your regular trash day after removing all decorations. Do not put trees in a plastic bag.

Important message for Saturday, February 7: Although the City does not have plans at this time to call a snow emergency, with snow coming, do not park within 20 feet of a corner. Only park where a 12-foot travel lane remains.🧵
