Me, awake late at night, mumbling about keeping a reference document on characters in my Cass story. So what? *gives your collar a tug* I need you to understand that it reads like Cass's uninterrupted chain of thoughts about the people in her life, including words that have stuck in Cass's head.

Can't sleep. Cracks open this story to take notes on ensuring smooth continuity into the chapters where I introduce River and Rob. Discovers a comment left 3 mins ago about the drama River does not deserve to put up with. Oh dear readers, Cass's return promises so much drama and gay yearning.

My dream game is being tasked with being the diplomat/vizier/sensible maid that has to smooth over or realign any snags in relationships and consequences between the actions of a bunch of really gay, powerful, storied, and possibly evil women who would otherwise be difficult to reason with.

Ugh. I am not even the one getting the bottom surgery and I am an emotional mess right now.

For everyone who has read my previous little Cass piece, I expect you to have a different emotional response to the story I am working on now. As my current piece exists now, this happened. Both characters involved are sure of it. That said, it is not required reading.

I don't know who painted the SHODAN image based on Alexandre Cabanel's The Fallen Angel, or if it's fan art or official (seems to have the Night Dive logo worked into it) but I hope, whoever is responsible, they know they've joined the "SHODAN is transfem" faction.

There comes a time in every wiggler's life that one must decide whether to embrace the typo and pivot to writing a story that hinges on the reader's intimate understanding of the video game MYST. Alas, it will shall not be this day. My typo was merely 'mist.'

I have begun to write the scene where Vanessa, as an expert on subjects, informs Cassandra that she is in fact bleeding. Just not blood, but memories and the capacity to be perceived. Vanessa can no longer touch the memories that made her arrive at this scene in the first place.

Cass's story, in its current iteration, has hit 2,000 words. I've got snippets of future conversations too, but for all intents and purposes I'm only counting what I'd put in front of a reader. To Burn Bright in Her Cold Embrace, by comparison, sits about 6,200.

My spite has churned out a city that I refuse to recognize as existing within anything resembling the country I live in. Cass's story is coming along nicely.
