Tonight's Project: Continues work on the melee framework. Very very sloppy structure right now as I figure out the handles I need to serialize. But, I am able to define hit frames and apply damage instances to HP. Plus some fun hitstop juice.

This reminds me of developers saying immersion breaking yellow paint is required because players don't follow instructions. Go play some HL2 with the commentary nodes on. "We placed this geometry and this light, so players moved in that direction." The answer isnt yellow paint. It's better design.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Funny enough i know two things that Concord and Highguard have in common- some of the best in the world hard surface concept artists on weapon design. Makes me sad that there is no way to shoot Concord guns rn. i hope someone will make custom servers/client.

Update on this 6 weeks later: ditching streaming services completely and switching to buying albums on bandcamp has completely refreshed my engagement with and appreciation of music. Owning music is nice, streaming it makes you treat it like slop, and I feel daft for not doing this years ago.

Another weekend, another couple hours on my bunny project. Lucky's now drifting about and she vanishes when certain actions happen or if she's too far away. She comes back a few seconds later. She also vanishes if she's in the way of the camera during combat.
