Teaching remotely is something I'm still getting used to, but it's very cool to watch students in breakout rooms draw mockups of their game ideas on a Zoom whiteboard in real time 🎨

One thing I didn't fully understand when agreeing to teach three days a week (at two schools, three different sections, three different campuses) was the amount of prep work needed before and after each class. From slides to learning management systems to assignments, there's so much to do! 😱

It's almost three weeks since I left my job. I thought I'd be taking a break, but instead I've done a talk, a podcast recording, a game UX review, a teaching demo, and a teaching interview. We got a Steam Deck this year and it was a game changer - I'm actually PLAYING on Steam! Granted, I started with Dave the Diver and re-emerged in a daze six months later 😁 A bulk of these games were from judging game awards too - more of that in 2025 please!
