Just finished reading 'Epidemiology: An Introduction' (3rd ed.) by KJ Rothman, KF Huybrechts and EJ Murray (@epiellie.bsky.social). What an excellent book. I especially loved those little boxes explaining, for instance, why p-values in the Table 1 of RCTs make no sense. Congrats for the great work!

The HHS is now claiming that Africa CDC is conducting "a public-relations campaign," offering no evidence for this claim. Yet I have a letter from a senior official in Guinea-Bissau saying it's been cancelled, and I've confirmed this with several other sources. Wonder who's doing the PR campaign.

The main outcome of this farcically horrible trial is death or hospitalization with any infection over *42 days*. That’s not even a little bit close to time Hep B takes to do anything. They will expose hundreds of newborn babies to Hep B for a trial that is all but guaranteed to be null. Evil.
