I actually wonder if warhammer players still do this. Glue 2pm coins into the bases of the minis to give them extra weight so they're less likely to get knocked over on the table.

There's a tradie working outside next door whose ring tone is the gentle plinky-plonky bit from the Juassic Park theme. That is SUCH a specific thing to have for your ring tone and I love it.
