First model completed for 2026. A classic Tomb Scorpion sculpted by Trish Carden. I quite enjoyed painting this one.

Currently have 1570pts of Tomb Kings painted and I have a Tomb Scorpion and BSB on my desk ready for painting and they’ll bring me up to 1700pts. The Bone Dragon took over a month to build and paint. Incredibly difficult model to work on and paint. Looking forward to something simpler.

Progressing nicely with the Liche Priest on Bone Dragon. Very complicated to paint. Lots of sub assemblies.

My oldhammer inspired Silver Towers of Tzeentch are finished! I even added more skulls to make it truly Warhammer! Ready for my game of Warcry on Saturday.

Painted up some The Old World hills for a bit of a palette cleanser. Didn’t take long and they came out great.

Nearly finished. I just want to add a load of static grass to the base and glue on some extra skulls in places and my Tzeentchian Silver Towers will be ready for a game of Warcry at the weekend!

Painting is well underway. Still lots and lots to do including some light weathering. The end is in sight. My Tzeentch Warcry Warband looks cool set up on it.

I've added some characterful daemonic details to the towers. I don't really want to over do it, but if I find it's "lacking" after it's painted, I might add more greebles like shields and the like. I think it's ready for paint now!

Finally finding my painting mojo again with this Kairic Acolyte armed with a Vulcharc. This is the start od a Warcry warband project that will expand into a Spearhead.

My Vulcharc’s ankle snapped. I’ve made an ugly fix by drilling and pinning him to the arm of my Kairic Adept. How would you hide the pin?

Lured Dunk’s Ultramarines into a killing zone, fell back and wiped him out to a man. Victory for Ulthwe just as Eldrad had foreseen. The real winner is painted armies and beautiful terrain.

Playing a 1000pt game with my Aeldari this weekend. All magnetised up and ready to go in the case. (This is more than 1000pts, I’m not using the farseer or second wave serpent).

Remember when the term 'army' in wargaming mean't something? Seems like warband sized boxed sets get labelled "army" all the time now. Anyhoo, this is my Blades of Khorne collection so far, I'll let you decide if it's worthy of the term army or not.

If mini painting is becoming a chore, put it down for a while - you'll get the itch when you're up for it again! The models, paint, etc aren't going anywhere.
