It is the most insane movie I have ever seen. More than A Serbian Film or Human Centipede. The only one that comes close, very, is Yakuza Apocalypse.

I have known and said at the time humanity was in trouble when I got Gmail. This company is going to destroy us with convenience. This was 2007. In 2012 I came home and heard Kyza say just as I parked "Sipping vanilla, chilling, watching Ichi the Killer." I was tired at the end of a long day.

John, James, Jacob. My mind processes them as WHITE NAMES THAT BEGIN WITH J. With no difference. It is a major reason I read digital books so much. The ability to quickly figure out who the White Name is easily makes things easier.

In 2010 two white women were hitting on me and I tried to indulge them. They got offended because I could not tell them apart and even worse, I struggle remembering European/Christian names.

Nocturnal Animals was so confusing I had to sit in my car and read the Wikipedia and check the cast to understand that Isla Fisher and Amy Adams were not the same character. I genuinely think all Anglo Saxon and Germanic people look identical.

stuff like this is a huge part of AI frustration for me. what was wrong with Google maps? is having a computer say "turn left at the big tree" so valuable that you'd rather kill the planet to ask ChatGPT instead of following the little arrow on your phone? we already have tools to do these things!

The thing about AI is that it is so obviously not reaching the level of adoption that the ruling class had hoped for. Sure, it's still successfully wreaking havoc, but MOST regular people HATE AI and are having it forced on them by their jobs and social media. We should never forget THAT truth

It is interesting technology. It is still useless for a long time at that power level because for years the limit has not been power. It is that rubber technology that cannot provide the grip. Aerodynamics are a smaller factor.

It is self serving. 40% of electricity generated in Oklahoma is from wind. The state is in tornado alley, which is shifting south due to climate change, and is potentially able to produce ⅓ of all energy used in the country.

somewhere north of 65 million tons of electronic waste was generated last year - of that only 22% is event flagged as properly collected, let alone actually recycled. stories like this are justified because "we need the metals" - then why are they being thrown into landfill, promoting destruction

I have 1-5 drinks a year. 1 for every new country and 1 or 2 with friends if it looks delicious. People want me to start a new birthday tradition because historically birthdays have been some of the worst days of my life. One tradition I considered was buying Pappy van Winkle and having a drink.

Then I remember people take the words of starving desert men from 5,000 years ago as sacrosanct and literal. Capitalism being defended by anyone without access to means of production. Not masking to avoid disease. Buying SUVs when the climate has told us it is a bad idea for 50 years.
