The CBO estimates that Republicans’ “Big Beautiful Bill” would kick millions of people off Medicaid. Health care providers in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, a region especially dependent on the federal program, are sounding the alarm on what it could do to patients, clinics and the economy.

It's hard to prove the "results" of prevention work, but solid prevention efforts make a sizeable dent on stats 5, 10, 15+ years down the road. Prevention is worth a long term investment.

Hey #kyga25 folks - please make the call to 800-372-7181 and tell House State Government Committee to vote NO on HB 495. Suicide rates of youth who are subjected to so-called "conversion therapy" are twice as high as their peers. Lives literally are on the line.

Remote work is work. It isn't less valuable. In fact, the geographic diversity and economic impact of state jobs in Kentucky being remote or partially remote has been incredible. Limiting this is unreasonable.

Your regular reminder that the more often you own your mistakes, the easier it gets. It is like any muscle-- work it more and it gets stronger. All people mess up, and sometimes we do so publicly. It's not the end of the world to acknowledge that we missed the mark; it's how we clean up.
