Majority governments happen because of corporate money in politics. Having only two "parties" isn't all that healthy, either - but trash like Citizens United, enabled by money flowing into the Judiciary, screwed what was left of our democracy after the GOP of the 70s, 80s and 2000s fucked it over.

While I'm ranting about politics, here's another point. Majority governments are a pitiful excuse for democracy. If you truly care about democracy, about the will of the people, then you should be adamantly opposed to any political party having a majority government.
