Paramount Skydance must NOT merge with Warner Bros. Discovery, or else Hollywood is DEAD. Pass it on.

I'll bet he's also bitter that he didn't get to eclipse Jim as the longest-running Kermit.

People need to remeber this i think some people think Bill was a no talent hack, listen to his scores for Zorro and F-Troop and you'll see what he could do with a bigger orchestra

(Getting my last few gripes in before New Year's) I hope in 2026 we can move past this phase we're currently in where every successful animated show has to either be grimdark or for toddlers; I hope the "middle ground" toons make a comeback this coming year.

Shows like Avatar:TLA and The Owl House should exist, but there should be more storytelling than *just* those. What about people like me who enjoy Looney Tunes, Rocko, Hanna-Barbera and Sid and Marty Krofft. What cartoons can *we* watch?

*Slipping into Old Man Mode here*: The thing is that today's creators/producers aren't interested in making shows like aforementioned. They want to make American anime, and I'm fine with lore heavy animated dramedies existing, but can't someone make a cartoon that's *just fun*?

We used to have shows like that: Dexter's Lab, PPG, Johnny Bravo, Courage, Rocko, Angry Beavers, Darkwing Duck. What happened to the "bridge" cartoon genre? Can we get that back, please?

Nothing in between. Rough for me since I've always been a fence sitter: my cartoons aren't super kiddy but they're not super adult either. Where do we go? There needs to be shows for the group between TV-Y and TV-MA.

Adult animation seems to be having a Renaissance right now, and that's awesome. Preschool and younger skewing family shows like Bluey are doing well too, also good news. But my question is: where's the middle ground? Nowadays every animated show is either Sesame Street or South Park, that's it.

On behalf of everyone in Hollywood, will things get better once David Zaslav, Bob Iger, Ted Sarandos and this current wave of CEOs retire and in their place, a new creative way of young bright minds willing to take risks, innovate and champion originality?

okay time to bring up something that really pisses me off. when people defend live action remakes of Disney movies as being for "a new generation" you know you can just show your kids the originals right? LITERALLY nothing is stopping you, in the age of streaming they're AT YOUR FINGERTIPS. +

Everyone, stop it. Stop talking about WB selling the Looney Tunes. Stop it. That's not going to happen. Looney Tunes will NOT be sold to Disney, Universal, Paramount or MGM (which is owned by Amazon). There's zero chance of that happening. Stop it.π

Usagi is an example of a flawed hero, someone who was thrusted into a great responsibility and as such has a hard time handling it but overtime gets better. Itβs a compelling and rather nuanced arc. Also, Bubbles is like 5, come on.

I'm all for using animation as a form of art and storytelling, but I think somewhere down the line we as a culture have forgotten that cartoons are meant first and foremost to be FUN!

Tribal fandom so dumb. People think that if you love Marvel, you have to hate DC and vice-versa. Or a W for Mario is an L for Sonic. No, that's ridiculous. You can be a fan of *both* franchises. You're allowed to like more than 1 thing.
