FRIEREN ANGLE

I finally finished painting this picture!

Please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position.

A friend asked me to do the Frieren thing. Whenever I draw this angle I stylize it quite a bit. I already stylize things a lot of ways but this angle I have to force things a bit more in order to keep the same overall headshape of the character. And a smug expression helps her look like Frieren.

Camera movement has existed longer than we might think, with pans becoming common in the 1900s. Early filmmakers also simulated movement. This 1908 fairy tale THE GRATEFUL LITTLE MICE gives the illusion of a zoom by pulling the performers and prop book toward the camera. It's nearly seamless.
