Here's my new quilt, now washed and spread out ! It's about 82 inches square (a little over two meters). All the fabrics were second hand, either from thrift shops or from ScrapPDX, my local craft resale shop. The "batting" is a couple of old flannel sheets, also thrifted.

Last night I was just musing and suddenly remembered the copy of the Marvel Super Special adaptation of the animated movie Rock & Rule. I had the comic as a kid and was fascinated by it but I've never seen the movie or to my knowledge met anyone who has.

Trimming the edges off unevenly precut fabric to make a quilt and I need something solid to keep them from slipping around when I move the ruler. Fortunately, I have just the thing!
