Interesting to map how the suicide lobby works. 1. The use of international trade treaties, with Britain as a key node, means governments can be sued for shutting down fossil fuel production

Food Security , anyone? Europe is losing its farmers. 5.3 MILLION farms have disappeared since 2005. Small-scale farmland is being eaten up by Big Agri corporations. Big industrial farms make starting out nearly impossible.

Two ways to read this. One is “she lost on every substantive claim, completely failed in her attempts to ban trans staff from the workplace, and won mild procedural victories against her employers handling of her case”. The other way is, I guess, “point one is longer so it must be more important”

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’

the Palestinian movement repeatedly instructs us not to use AI; it diminishes real Palestinians who are actually surviving a genocide, and moreover gives the enemy material evidence to claim everything we're is saying is fake, backed up by AI-generated garbage. we would do well to internalize that.

The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.
