Can anyone explain why our institutional Open Access rates are consistently lower in Scopus than on OpenAlex? For 2024 it is 58% in Scopus to 68% in OpenAlex, and the difference is 7-11% in previous years. I have ideas but not sure they explain the situation fully.

Imagine hitting a paywall on The New York Times or The Atlantic, and a little popup says "Available through [Your Public Library] - Click to access" and takes you there. Academic libraries have this with browser extensions like LibKey and Lean Library. I wonder if it's a thing for public libraries?

evolve? Which publishers and journals do they target? This dashboard tracks an Altra paper mill identified in April 2025. Major publishers have been notified. Many papers remain undetected, and others are under revision. I will continue to track progress.
