Good to see the media acknowledging methane emissions from oil and gas are a big problem. Now if they would only report more on the issue for US oil and gas production which LEADS THE WORLD in methane emissions from oil and gas and is greatly adding to the problem with LNG exports.

Using CO2 to push more oil out of old oilfields (enhanced oil recovery[EOR]) is a bad idea for many reasons but one of the biggest is that much of the CO2 doesn't stay in the ground and even worse, some can be converted to methane. Issue could use much more attention.

2025 is on track to be the UK’s hottest year on record. Again. Four of the last five years now sit among the hottest ever measured. This isn’t random or surprising. This is the result of broken climate promises and fossil fuel expansion.
