As the proud owner of a 1980s era Regal Planar 3 this story delights me. I bought a Rega phono amp a couple of years ago so I could plug it into my office speakers. Still sounds fabulous. (in the spirit of "my other car is a porsche" I also have a 40 year old Linn Sondek)
