Today we passed my bill Intro 1135, which brings pay parity to tens of thousands of third-party grocery delivery workers. These multimillion-dollar apps built their profits on poverty wages. Today, we correct this. All workers deserve dignity and fair pay.

Today, the Council passed Int. 1135-A, sponsored by @cmsandynurse.bsky.social, to set a minimum pay rate for grocery delivery workers and bring parity with food delivery workers. It’s part of a larger package to protect delivery workers across NYC.

Today, @council.nyc.gov passed the FY26 budget and once again, the Council has defended the social services our communities depend on as a lifeline.

We passed my Resolution 931, which condemns the President’s racist deportation agenda of disappearing immigrants to foreign prisons without due process. As we face an unprecedented assault on our Constitutional rights, this majority women of color council is fighting back.

Today I passed the Rent Transparency Act! A tool that will alert tenants that 1 or more units in their building are rent stabilized. The bilingual signs within common areas will share how to request rental history. This will protect 2 million New Yorkers from illegal rent hikes.
