Just had to resign from some volunteering in my community. I was undervalued and under-appreciated but that wasn’t my main reason. It was respect. I will be doing the good work elsewhere and be more boots on the ground, getting my hands dirty. To quote Halo The missions change, they always do

Thread 1/2 I had a tough weekend. Some personal stuff with Blaire’s family. I had what felt like a mini meltdown and just spiraled into a dark place. Its pretty clear i need to destress over the holidays

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment. 2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

Is sending unsolicited DM's to strangers on Discord a thing now to ask people to buy your art? Legit, is this a way things are done now? I've been BOMBARDED in the last few months on #TTRPG servers where I don't talk a lot or in some cases not at all (I'm terrible at Discord BTW) Just venting :/
