Feeling pretty severe burnout. I think it was there just kept so busy I couldn't feel it. Appetite is almost non-existent, multiple late nights and bad sleep are making things worse. Also stressing over figuring when my folks should come up and just general worries on the future.

Got some treats for the dogs that the vet recommended for their teeth. Especially for Kiddo after all the dental stuff they had to do. They liked them but Kiddo was intense. She was chewing on it and got real growly with me even making eye contact. Poor Sheebah was hiding to have hers in peace.

The more I learn about Warhammer 40k lore, the more I see the subtler parallels. Like the Adeptus Mechanicus makes me think of us all the times we’ve talked to our machines, pleading for them to work or just hold on. Had to have been people who worked in IT that wrote some of that.

I’m really starting to struggle to get food down past a few bites at dinner. Last few nights I just don’t have much of an appetite. Not feeling bad, but I’m just hitting that full point really fast. Maybe best to help lose some weight but something feels different. Can’t pinpoint it though.

Not sure what happened but the apple I tried to eat this morning tastes strange. Did look rotten or blemished, but had this strange taste. Almost like soap. I made sure to wash it before cutting it up but couldn’t finish it.

Loving Borderlands 4 overall. There are some issues, like carryover of spec levels, the bank on alts, and the new characteer at 30 is kinda rough without anything unlocked, but the gameplay is awesome. Need to take a break soon though. Still need to play MGS: Delta and FFT remaster is in 10 days.

Uhhh that was LOUD. Heard something and thought maybe something fell or broke. Went outside and then hear these loud bangs. Not like fireworks, ore like explosions. Don’t see any flights, fire, or smoke though. Hoping nothing bad happened.

Great show overall. While the not being ready is a storyline for Fletcher I feel he really proves himself tonight. He can go with the top talent at AEW and knows how to antagonize the crowd and cut good promos. I hope we see him more in PPVs. His match against Osprey earlier this year was glorious.

Them mentioning the time makes me think they’re doing to draw this match. Fletcher doesn’t win but shows he can go that long with Hangman

Only thing I’m not sure of for this match is if Don Callis tries to help and they get caught which costs Fletch his title per the stipulation. I honestly hope not unless they really want to give him a trial by fire to prove he can be THE guy.

Awesome tag match and great to see Perry back and Luchasaurus reclaim his name and reunite. With a lot of their top guys out on medical leave I’m glad we’re seeing some people coming back so they can get time to shine.

Like the byline, a fool and his money are soon parted, on the young bucks lower third. I’m hoping we see a Jack Perry return to screw them over.

That was a crazy match. Good to see PAC back too. Wondering where they go from here with the Darby/Mox angle though. Now to see this women’s match. I’m wondering if we are only retentions tonight. Hangman will surely win but I’m a little unsure with this one.

Mark winning was badly needed. He’s such an over face and I really hope he gets a title soon. Feels like he’s lost a lot of his PPV matches but this was good. Despite the tacks it wasn’t as brutal as I was expecting. Well earned win though.

I’m noticing I’m talking to myself a lot more with Buster back home. Not in a bad way but I find it helps me think or go over things. But can see it being odd if you walking in on me cooking and having a full conversation about flavor and amount of seasoning with myself.

Got back from physical therapy. Definitely VERY inflamed on my right knee. As they worked on it it was intense pain to say the least. But it's getting better. Said I'm okay to go back to the gym but minimal leg work for the next few weeks until things progress further.

I was talking to kiddo while laying in bed and she put her head down and sighed loudly as I talked. Then a couple sentences later she just turns away from me entirely. Does my dog think I’m boring?

Well dinner is almost done and it’s almost 11 PM. So late I’ll just have a bit then go to bed. Really should have started this earlier. Definitely needed to be higher to get tender than the recipe recommended. Just having leftovers of my shrimp scampi tomorrow to keep it easy.

Trying a recipe for Birria beef in a Dutch Oven. It smells very good, but I think it had me set it at too low a temperature. Supposed to be fork tender after nearly 3 hours but not at all. It said to add more beef broth so I think it needs more heat. Hope it's done soon. I'm quite hungry.

I’m already loving Kyle Fletcher in AEW, but him assigning Pokémon to the Don Callis family makes me like him even more. Love that we see more super athletic people showing their nerdy side. I like how he gave himself Rayquaza. Seems like a really fun guy overall.

Jambalaya was good but something was off. Too much liquid still. I did it the same way I have in the past but something was definitely wrong. The rice was cooked but seemed like it could absorb more. Maybe should put the rest back in the oven for a bit before freezing the rest.

Was able to get a Covid booster at CVS when I picked up prescription. Some malicious compliance but glad to see it. Should get my flu shot soon too just in case.

So this turned out really well. Tried a new recipe for bolognese sauce. Used to a lot of tomatoes but this was mainly vegetables, ground beef, and then a little tomato paste. Delicious and rich flavor. Definitely going to make this for Ryne when he gets back home.

Now to get baked and play some Borderlands for the night

Excited to see Patton Oswalt live. One of my favorite comedians and it’s a nice more intimate venue compared to a full theatre. Sold out show which is nice to see.

My right knee has been bothering me the past couple months so I finally went to an Orthopedic specialist. They said I have IT Band syndrome. Basically a tendon is rubbing on stuff and causing pain. Just need some light physical therapy and stretches at home. Glad it was nothing serious at least.

The footage of Prime 4 has me torn. I’m glad it’s finally coming out but the footage looked kind of rough. The open word looked kind of barren. Hoping maybe it’s just that part but really wanting this to be good after such a long wait.

Does it mean anything that the first character I ALWAYS play in a Borderlands game is the Siren? Obvious Pre-Sequel and Wonderland don't count but even in BL 1 I chose Lilith when I first played. Loving Vex so far.

Have some stuff I can easily heat for dinner after I made Chicken Piccata last night. Then I’m going to try to enjoy Borderlands 4 the rest of the evening. It’s been running alright so far but my PC is getting warm even on medium to high settings. Seeing a LOT of complaints about performance though.

My finance has left to go back to Kansas City. He’s going to be gone for a couple months. Nothing bad or that he is getting away from me, but just family and personal stuff for him. Going to miss him but know it’s something he needs to do. Will be a little worried until he gets there though.

One form of AI, if you can call it that, which I really have grown to get annoyed by are ones used to entirely narrate videos. They constantly mispronounce things, and even the better ones have such a static cadence and can't switch tone that it's really distracting.
