I don’t think 1.5 degrees failed because it was too ambitious. It failed because hardly anyone made a serious effort. Just look at fossil fuel subsidies. Any serious attempt to phase out fossil fuels would have started by immediately stopping all fossil subsidies.

‼️It’s 1 year since countries launched the #COFFIS coalition to #StopFundingFossils. But not all have released fossil fuel subsidy inventories as promised. Antigua and Barbuda, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, and Spain, who have not published their inventories. Where are they?
