Think I may have diagnosed why my rooftop ADSB Raspberry Pi sometimes goes non-responsive. I've added a script that checks for connectivity and if it is down, drops and reloads the WLAN interface. It's apparently a known issue with headless Pi setups where there may be weak connectivity.

Trying out the Raspberry Pi network installer on a 500+, seeing as it came with Bookworm and not Trixie. Once I plugged in ethernet, it worked well. Boot to the network installer, and off we go! A complete OS downloaded and installed in under 5 minutes. Having fibre to the house helps, but still...

Reorganised the house robots; bought a small Switchbot K10 Pro for the office and to experiment with its Home Assistant integration. Pretty good vaue for money, and a better cleaner than the Roomba it is replacing. For one thing it gets into places the Roomba can't and has LIDAR navigation.
