It's depressing how many people in this country will see an incident like what happened at that daycare and come to the conclusion that the government did everything right. Rather than consider the circumstances with a shred of empathy. We're punishing people for desperately wanting a better life.

I'm gonna challenge myself to give a complete stranger a face-to-face compliment every day, even if it feels awkward. I think pushing myself through that self-consciousness and making people feel good about themselves in the process would be a transformative endeavor, especially over a long period.
