Very sad to hear that Ron Clarke has died. He originally identified that understanding crime *opportunities* is much more important in preventing crime than studying factors like offender genetics or upbringing. Millions have not been victims because of his work. He was also a truly nice guy.

Having hosted the @reducingcrime.com podcast since 2018 I’ve seen so many criminology/policing podcasts start, and then give up. Sticking to just one episode a month was the best decision I made (along with editing episodes thoroughly).
