Fromsoft players are like... damaged. Speaking as someone who loves the games, the community is insufferable in their attitude that the game has a "right" way to be played. (Probably born from the "Its so hard!" circle jerk early coverage/marketing of DS1 spawned)

One is the annoying things with the difficulty discussion around Souls games is that they HAVE diegetic difficulty relief valves and the fandom pretends they're like an accident

I just saw an article hyping upcoming Duskbloods, that it will have "few things other companies could learn from" And I'm like It's crazy how Fromsoft keeps winning by just actually developing and trying new things outs. Which shows how many big companies are just in constant stagnation

honestly learning a new "play language" is one of my favorite things in gaming and I'll never fully gel with people who complain that a game doesn't work the same way that unrelated games in the sane genre do
