that artist thing where you're drawing a hand and you're kinda guessing how something would look at a certain angle, because you're too lazy to go find a reference, and then much much later you remember that you literally have hands attached to you that you could have looked at. yea.

for sure the same thing in software. demands for a very wide set of incredibly specialized tools/skills/experience, and "comparable" experience just doesn't cut it most of the time for stuff that you could probably learn in your first month anyway. for stuff you already know in another program/tool

despite starting a job this past week, i've (to my great relief) still had some energy and motivation for sketching lately :)
