Tailscale is fantastic, you have a network problem? throw Tailscale at it and you no longer have any problems. No configuration no messing with NAT or firewalls or permissions it just works.

is there any prior art for parsing and using (not creating) bluesky facets in Go? i only see js/ts in docs since usually youd do this on a frontend

turns out while i can rewrite my account creation date on the PDS, it doesn't actually get reflected in sites like clearsky or in discords integration. i assume its being validated back to its proper value somewhere in the stack

i created a new bsky account on the web app recently and the account switcher got confused and reset my avatar/background innstead of the new accounts. just realised it also rewrote my account creation date which is wild

I forgot that people can import posts with old dates, now I need to make my tool take the date of a post into account when it comes through on jetstream 😓

Now that Bluesky is much bigger I've shuffled some handles around. erisa.uk is now @oldhandle.erisa.uk and @erisa.mraow.party is now @erisa.uk but the old one will still resolve. I regret the series of choices that led to having two accounts, but hopefully the handles make more sense now.

I use social media mainly for Tailscale sentiment watching and we have achieved an important milestone: either bsky has more Tailscale posts than Twitter, or Twitter’s search is now so bad that it can’t find them. In any case I guess this site wins now.
