Today we observe Juneteenth, commemorating June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved Americans in Texas learned of their freedom. This pivotal moment represents not an end, but a beginning—of the ongoing journey toward true equality and justice for all Americans.

I had an incredible opportunity to participate in the ribbon cutting for the brand new non-motorized small boat launch! This exciting addition will enable visitors to HD19, to set out on their kayaks & explore the beautiful Neabsco Creek, which flows right into the Potomac River.
