Freddie Freaker The Freak Phone 1988-1989 Created for a party line where callers could record funny messages or hear what was freakin'. Requests for merchandise could not materialise. The ad became an enigma when rediscovered in 2008, renewing the creators' interest in giving Freddie a second life.

Been feeling a bit of artistic burnout lately and nothing else seems to get me out of it than doing this. Random characters in the Klasky-Csupo style!!! Yes, part one. There will be more.

Inspektor Maska is a GREAT example of using limited animation to a stronger effect. It proved that you can just use much less frames to make it work. This is something indie animation people really should embrace.

P.J. Parrot Melody Pops 1994-1999 Chupa Chups' slide whistle lollipops - a hit in European sweet shops and chemists alike - were marketed through the 1990's using a hip parrot who loved to cause musical mischief with the pops, as well as any different kind of woodwind or brass instrument.

A very good point. While calling out corporations is important, our government is trying to force av laws like KOSA and SCREEN on EVERYONE under the guise of "protecting kids". Call your reps + tell them to OPPOSE these bad bills.

Corny Snaps (1975-circa 1981): A sweetened, corn/oat cereal in little, squiggly "s" shapes. Originally marketed with a grumpy bucktoothed turtle named "Shelly", until 1977, when the turtle was re-named "Snappy", and became a masked, Zorro-esque rapscallion.

Jim Tyer animated this scene in this Batfink episode, once again employing the brilliant paper-thin character routine he used for the servants in Stuffy Durma. More fun, off-kilter expressions, movement and proportions as is customary with Tyer's animation.

Orbs Npower 2005-2010 Needing to draw appeal to their brand, Npower introduced two friendly orbs as their mascots - one embodying electricity, the other gas - who were paired happily together as customers' pets. Outside of advertising, Npower let Britons "adopt" the orbs in the form of plush toys.
