We partnered with MS22 a few days ago to bring holiday support to families—refreshments, pantry goods, turkeys, and a raffle. The MS22 band and LEAP dancers made the event unforgettable.

Update on Water DEP crews are responding to a confirmed water main break on Nelson Avenue in the Bronx and have initiated an emergency shutdown. A Water-on-the-Go fountain is available at Nelson Ave and West 167th Street.

Joined the ribbon cutting for the new Bronx DMV at the Terminal Market. The upgrades and improved layout will help deliver faster, more efficient service for our residents. As an organ donor, I encourage everyone to learn about registering one choice can save lives.

Sharing a great holiday event at Roberto Clemente State Park! On Dec 13, they’re hosting two wreath-making sessions for teens and adults: 11 AM–1 PM and 1–3 PM. A fun chance to get creative and bring home a festive wreath!

This Thanksgiving, we stepped up for our community. With our partners and volunteers, we helped families prepare a warm holiday meal delivering 150 pernil, 821 turkeys, and 300 chickens across the Bronx. Hope everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving. I see you, I hear you, and I fight for you.

Geraldine Minor shares what seniors are dealing with—heavy groceries, unsafe crossings, the Sedgwick stairs, and long detours home. Some stay on the bus to Jerome; others go to 170th for the B. We’re working with the MTA to improve Bx18 service.

Checked out Fix It With Piggy’s grand opening at the Andrew Freedman Home. This new community tech hub is giving young people real skills through repair training and digital literacy workshops. The potential is huge for our youth.

It was great to visit River Park Towers and see our seniors receiving their Thanksgiving food with smiles and gratitude. They always bring such great energy. From there, we headed to IS229 to make sure the school community had the groceries and resources they needed as well.

Our Pernil Distribution took place just a few days ago, and with the help of Camber Properties, we made sure more than 100 families had what they needed heading into the holiday season. We’re grateful to play a small part in helping families get ready for the holidays.

Vegan Dine-In Night hosted by Justin Tolbert brought together neighbors, leaders, and food lovers to explore a plant-based menu and talk about what healthier eating can look like in Yonkers

On the 18th and 19th, we joined Council Member Althea Stevens to host two Thanksgiving food distributions in the 77th District. Families showed up early, volunteers packed carts, and we connected with neighbors who rely on this support. Our work doesn’t stop after the holidays.

Yesterday, I spoke with veterans at the Veteran Action Now Think Tank Breakfast. Their voices make clear how much more we must do to deliver real care, real benefits, and real support. I see you, I hear you, and I’ll always fight for you.

Thank you to NYC Veterans and DC37 for bringing us together. Grateful to speak with our veterans about their experiences and the challenges they still face. I’m committed to ensuring they receive the care, recognition, and opportunities they deserve.

A few days ago, Council Member Pierina Sanchez and I hosted a Thanksgiving giveaway at Jerome & Tremont with Morris Heights Health Center, Food Bazaar, and Madd Equities. Committed to supporting families across the District.

Earlier this week at 92 West Tremont Ave, we helped ensure families had their Thanksgiving essentials. Our community deserves steady support year-round. I see you, I hear you, and I will always fight for you.

Joined families and advocates at the Second Look Act press conference yesterday. Proud to support Second Look, Earned Time, and the Marvin Mayfield Act. New York needs fairer sentencing and real second chances.

We fed 150+ neighbors at Lou Gehrig Plaza yesterday. The need is real. SNAP and EBT aren’t covering rising food prices. We’re pushing for change so no Bronx family goes hungry.

We have given out over 1000 Turkeys this week plus pernils, chickens and groceries. We are doing what we can to help those most in need.

Members of Congress should be consistently against corruption, consistently pro-democracy, and consistently working to deliver real results for you.

The hardest part of my job is wanting to help everyone in my district, even when I know I can’t. But I’ve learned that people value being heard—that I see their humanity and try to fight for the outcome they’re hoping for.

On Monday, our office partnered with POTS and Con Edison to serve 300+ families at 910 Grand Concourse in response to recent SNAP cuts. We’ll continue supporting our community through food distributions this month because every Bronx family deserves access to food, dignity, and care.
