"How bad was the laptop" Besties Windows Recovery Environment doesn't even EXIST

So, the repair center said don't bother, just ship it back. I've submitted for a refund. HOWEVER !!!! I financed a newer model of this laptop through another company and I'm going to pick it up in an hour. It will be more spency, but they didn't have the same exact model.

The Beaft (yes, thats what I named the new laptop) is being taken to a repair place later to see if they can fix it under warranty. If not, I will be throwing hands with amazon (which might mean no streams for a little...) But I'll keep you guys updated 🫡

PEAK got an update today! There's plenty more to do while you wait for your flight, now. The photobooth... went about as well as you'd expect.

I am going to attempt to stream later (possibly later than usual depending), but I will say to expect some crashes. I still don't know why the crashes happen and why they're so inconsistent, but I have plans to take the (NEW BTW) laptop to a repair shop to get it checked out

Had to drop off new laptop for file transfer, probably wont get it back until tomorrow. I am once again laptopless and sad.

So, I just got off the phone with the repair shop. The old laptop has not one but TWO SHORTS. He said it was just better to buy a new laptop at that point. Ironically I am setting up the new laptop right now, sooo looks like I'm going to get the old one later!

Update on the old laptop: The new charger didn't help, the laptop is still unresponsive. They are going to try and diagnose the issue.

For context on this: i needed like 22 cents more for fast and free shipping on some tools to extract my old SSD for the new laptop so one of the suggested items was a potato. And it was the cheapest thing so i was like. Sure why not

The more I think about it, the more I realize it'll probably be better to just buy a new laptop. I could provide better quality streams for everyone, and the games I enjoy will run better too. I won't lie, it's going to be pricey. I'll adjust the KOFI goal when I can.

The charger I ordered hasnt even shipped yet so it looks like today is another bust on getting the laptop fixed for now. The shop is closed tomorrow so I have to find someone to run the charger over monday.

Unfortunately, I will have to cancel stream until further notice. My laptop shut down and refuses to show any signs of life, and I am taking it to a repair shop ASAP. I am so incredibly heartbroken. My friends and I cooked up some new things for stream that I was so excited to show off.
