"How bad was the laptop" Besties Windows Recovery Environment doesn't even EXIST

So, the repair center said don't bother, just ship it back. I've submitted for a refund. HOWEVER !!!! I financed a newer model of this laptop through another company and I'm going to pick it up in an hour. It will be more spency, but they didn't have the same exact model.

The Beaft (yes, thats what I named the new laptop) is being taken to a repair place later to see if they can fix it under warranty. If not, I will be throwing hands with amazon (which might mean no streams for a little...) But I'll keep you guys updated 🫡

Imagine your old computer dies, so you spend a ton of money on a newer, stronger computer, only for that to be pretty much busted on arrival. I'm about to McFreaking lose it :) While I try to get this resolved AGAIN, support me over on ko-fi.com/junodragones... (if you want. No pressure.)

PEAK got an update today! There's plenty more to do while you wait for your flight, now. The photobooth... went about as well as you'd expect.

I am going to attempt to stream later (possibly later than usual depending), but I will say to expect some crashes. I still don't know why the crashes happen and why they're so inconsistent, but I have plans to take the (NEW BTW) laptop to a repair shop to get it checked out

Thank you everyone who came to the test stream. Sorry for the scuff! I'll work on getting the TTS fixed up hopefully for next time. This new laptop handled the load pretty well. Unfortunately, PEAK did not want to cooperate. I guess photon was having a bad day.

So new laptop likes to suddenly crash ♡ We are hoping updating everything stops it from crashing but otherwise i might have to ship it out for repair :') I'm gonna stress test it later

Im kidnapping @jarelvt.bsky.social to help me finish the initial setup now that I have peaked for the first time on my new laptop Yes, I did bluescreen this laptop twice due to outdated drivers bc I tried to play peak the instant I got home

Had to drop off new laptop for file transfer, probably wont get it back until tomorrow. I am once again laptopless and sad.

So, I just got off the phone with the repair shop. The old laptop has not one but TWO SHORTS. He said it was just better to buy a new laptop at that point. Ironically I am setting up the new laptop right now, sooo looks like I'm going to get the old one later!

Update on the old laptop: The new charger didn't help, the laptop is still unresponsive. They are going to try and diagnose the issue.
