I always forget to post on here! I finally got a ref sheet of my new character, Lily, from @hookaloof.bsky.social! She's an 11ft tall orca who runs a little flower shop by the beach. She's also got a little bit of dragon DNA in her that miiight come with some subtle magic powers she barely controls.

Oops I had a busy weekend and didn't get to draw much. Squeezed in this practice doodle tonight. I met this Eevee at the Tarkir prerelease and they were kind of a jerk ..

Doodled this last night! I plan on working through all of the eevees, one a day, for practice. I got a silly idea and once again got carried away with the background. Learned a lot, though, and was more careful with my layer management. ...bogos binted? 👽

Here's my practice doodle from Tuesday. Messed around with different brushes and experimented with shading. A little sketch of a cactus accidentally evolved into a full background. Didn't really know what I was doing there so I just sort of played with different features and techniques.

Last week, I finally decided it was time to learn to draw! I picked up a drawing tablet and just kind of went to town messing around in CSP. Here's my first doodle from Monday! For now, while I figure things out, I've just recreated some official Jolteon art.

If I could impart any knowledge onto any young engineers, it would be: "Be thorough." My current job assignment is going through legacy assembly drawings and updating them for our modern standard. So many of these have terrible shortcuts or embarrassing errors that should have never gotten approval.
