I know I'll not be completing P3R before the dawn of 2026, so I'll indulge in something else for today. I like to make temporary playlists on YouTube with select tracks from games I've played that year in order to share the vibe and maybe introduce someone to a new game.

I'm grateful automotive repair was able to troubleshoot the issue with my car. We nearly took it home, but the issue had persisted. Turns out, a sensor in at least one door wasn't working properly, meaning the dome light and "door open" indicator light would stay on and drain the battery.

Every new chapter of Dandadan which features Momo × Okarun development just—it makes me FERAL!! Unholy but quiet screeching. I love them so much, and I'm not someone who really fixates on character "ships."

I wonder when I'll fold and get a new car. Mine's about 26 years old—a hand-me-down I've been driving since high school. I'd say it's my ride-or-die, but I tell you h'what, it's been mostly "die." We had to whip out the jumper cables today just to get it out to a shop.

Ah, I'd missed this world. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's latest update is in the books. New music! I think it's fun, this new area. I thought I'd struggle more to settle back into a groove. I also checked out what's been added within the Endless Tower. On that front...nah, I'm good, thanks.

Regarding The Game Awards 2025, in general I thought it was fine. My primary objective as a consumer is to walk away interested in at least one game that's been announced, and I have. I would agree sweeps make for a less interesting show, even if in certain categories I think the win is deserved.

Congratulations to all nominees featured at The Game Awards 2025 and to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for success beyond their dreams. It is my own Game of the Year, neck and neck with the likes of Hades II and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It's left an impression on me that will not soon fade.

I completed Metroid Prime 4: Beyond this past Sunday, earning 100% items, scans, and green energy. Overall, I'm satisfied! I think it nails the "feel" of this sub-series, which is all I could have asked for in a new entry. W/e complaints I might have are insignificant compared to what I enjoy. 🧵

I'm grateful I could attend a journal reading last evening at my alma mater. This year the student publication would launch its 10th edition, which makes me proud to see it has survived. Although new faces far outnumber the old ones these days, I took joy in chatting with them all. Won lit. trivia!

For my birthday, I'll be treating myself after my walk to a copy of Metroid Prime 4. Later, homemade spaghetti for dinner. It's tradition now. I'm 32. 🎂

Given I have over 1,100 hours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, I may as well comment on the ver. 3.0 update and NSW2 Edition coming soon. The short of it: Not all that interested! I've done virtually all I can, so I'm done. The hotel is Happy Home Paradise in essence for people who'd missed it.

Regarding my routine, in early October I had managed to hold an 8 mph pace on the treadmill for a time. To give my knees a break, I'd skip my run the rest of the week and would only walk. Since then, however, it's been all I can do to will myself just to walk, even if I limit myself to one hour.

I've run out of new episodes of The X-Files to watch; I'm all caught up. Personality-defining show. I want to see Scully and Mulder in everything now to see how they'd crack that plot.

Managed to match my latest record today: 13 consecutive miles run (6 mph), or 14.32 mi altogether. This was not the plan, but as the youth say, "Fuck it, we ball."

Weather's nice today. I took my walk outside to avoid signal interference from our treadmill while family wanted to watch American football. I attempted to jog, but the high pollen made me sniffling, tearful mess. It's interesting to observe what folks in my neighborhood might be up to this weekend.

On occasion I'll check my feed and find it's still a touch doomscroll-y. If I'm not so interactive with your posts, it's for my mental's sake I stick more to posting than browsing. Please understand. I'd picked up the habit from the other site, and it's helped me not to be stuck refreshing all day.

The X-Files progress: S9 E3 This was the first episode in this series which almost put me to sleep in my chair. I think The X-Files can work without certain characters being always present (see: S8), though S9 hasn't grabbed me yet.
