Five years ago today, Adam Toledo was shot and killed by a police officer in the predominantly Mexican-American Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Adam was only thirteen years old, and he should still be alive.

Fourteen years ago today, Trayvon Martin was chased, shot, and killed while walking home from a convenience store in Florida. Trayvon should have turned 31 this month, but his life was stolen when he was only 17 years old. Trayvon should still be here. His family should not be forced to mourn him.
