Let's face it—things were not great for many people BEFORE Trump. While the oligarchs burn the whole thing down, we need to be putting forth a vision of how we intend to rebuild the system so it provides for the needs of working families—not just the wealthy.

In studying local grassroots campaigns I'm discovering something rather striking. Campaigns that use only legal & legislative strategies often win little or nothing. Campaigns that use those strategies PLUS disruptive direct action often achieve success.

Big demonstrations are inspirational, but they alone can't overthrow a dictator. That takes mass noncooperation and interventions like strikes, boycotts, tax resistance, occupations, parallel government, etc. to pull down the pillars of support that empower a regime.
